The story
Hand-drawn in Luxembourg and rooted in the quiet elegance of British heritage, TORF takes its name from the Luxembourgish word for peat that deep, earthy material extracted from ancient bogs across Ireland and Scotland. Its reimagined chevron and houndstooth motifs blend forest green with deep amber and burnt orange, reinterpreting classic menswear codes through a contemporary, artisanal lens.
Composition & care
Carré, 75 × 75 cm. 70% wood pulp Lyocell, 30% mulberry silk, twill weave with a double-face print and our hand-rolled orange hem. Drawn by hand in Luxembourg.
Dry clean, or hand wash cold with a silk detergent. Dry flat and iron on the reverse at low heat.

The story behind the design
The club, the cellar, the fire
TORF borrows the green of leather armchairs in a London club and the amber of an Irish whiskey. Chevrons and houndstooth, redrawn by hand, with a burnt orange edge.

Is a silk scarf really for everyday wear?
Yes. The twill is dense and supple, and the Lyocell makes it sturdier than pure silk. It is designed to be knotted every morning.
Will it be warm enough in winter?
Yes. The blend of Lyocell and silk regulates warmth: it keeps you warm in the cold without overheating indoors.
Does it itch like wool?
No. Lyocell and mulberry silk are smooth against the skin, even on a bare neck.
Can I return or exchange it?
